Flemming Wins Parts for Trucks 100 at NBIS

GEARY, NB (June 17, 2006) - John Flemming of Halifax, NS won the PARTS FOR TRUCKS 100 for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour at New Brunswick International Speedway on Saturday night. Flemming took the lead early in the race dominating most of the 100 lap Main Feature, and held off Shawn Tucker of Fredericton and Gordie Ryan of Wellington to take home his 1st win of the season.

Brad Mann of Campbellton, NB, Russell Smith of Timberlea, NS and Mike Stevens of Moncton, NB won the heat races. Flemming of Halifax, NS won the Motor Mart Dash for the Pole, featuring the top 10 finishers in Time Trials. Rollie MacDonald had the fastest time on the quarter mile track, at an average speed of 66.084 MPH. The final qualifying positions were determined by the B-feature won by Darren Vanderaa of Charlottetown, PE, Tim Rodgers of Moncton, NB was second and third place was Daryl Mahar of Halifax, NS.

Wayne Smith of Halifax took the Rockico Truck and Trailer Pole Challenge, started 25, and finished ninth in the 27 car field.

The next stop on the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour is on July 1st at Raceway Park in Oyster Bed Bridge, PE.
