New General Manager For Scotia Speedworld and CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour
Halifax, NS (December 7, 2007) – Scotia Speedworld and the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour announces the appointment of Ron J. Clarke as General Manager. Clarke replaces Ken Cunning, who has resigned in order to pursue racing with his son, Scott.
Clarke has many years of management experience and expertise in the automotive industry. He was a co-founder of C & R Auto Supply Limited in 1976 and has been the sole owner for the past 16 years. Clarke has been an avid stockcar racing enthusiast and promoter for many years and is greatly looking forward to his new duties as General Manager.
Clarke and his wife, Jackie, have been married for over forty years and live in the Halifax area, with strong ties to the South Shore. They have one son James and daughter-in-law Carol Ann. James will assume the leadership role in the family business, as Ron assumes his new position as General Manager of Scotia Speedworld and the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour.
With nearly 4000 locations in North America, CARQUEST Auto Parts supplies the professional automotive service repair industry as well as do-it-yourselfers with replacement parts, tools and equipment. The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour is operated by the Maritime Pro Stock Tour Limited and features an 11 race series at five different venues throughout the Maritime Provinces.
