Revised Results for Pioneer Coal 100

 

Halifax, NS (June 11, 2007) – The results from the Pioneer Coal 100 run Saturday June 9th at Riverside Speedway have been amended.

Wayne Smith, Timberlea, NS was found to have an unapproved part on his car during post race technical inspection. The carburetor on Smith’s car did not meet the specifications as required by the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour rules, resulting in Smith being disqualified.

The results of the race have changed as a result, with Bob White, Kennetcook, NS receiving 2nd place and Shawn Tucker, Fredericton, NB third. The revised finish order is:

The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour returns to action this Saturday, June 16th in the Geary woods for the Parts For Trucks 100 at New Brunswick International Speedway, Geary, NB.

The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour visits four different race tracks in the three Maritime Provinces on the east coast of Canada: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Facilities are required to meet specific criteria for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour events; ensuring quality shows for the audience and the competitors.

With nearly 4,000 locations in North America, CARQUEST Auto Parts supplies the professional automotive service repair industry as well as do-it-yourselfers with replacement parts, tools and equipment.
