Tucker, Smith, Vincent Recognized by
Late Model Digest

(February 6, 2008) - Late Model Digest, one of the most recognized names in motorsports, has given honors to three of the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour's top drivers, and also recognizes the stability of the Tour. In Volume 20, Number 1, titled "State Champions..." Late Model Digest says the following about these three drivers:

"New Brunswick: Shaun Tucker, Fredericton, NB. Tucker was the champion of the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour, a series which had more drivers follow the full schedule than any other Late Model circuit in North America.

Nova Scotia: Wayne Smith, Timberlea, NS. Smith won six CARQUEST features, and even Tucker said he was the man to beat. Had a tech decision not gone against him at Riverside Speedway in June, the "Oval Outlaw" would have taken the CARQUEST title in a runaway.

Prince Edward Island: Kent Vincent, Crapaud, PE. Vincent was fourth in CARQUEST Tour points and won in August in Riverside, his first victory away from Raceway Park in his home Province."

The fact that a newspaper of this caliber, located in the heart of racing country in North Carolina, has recognized these drivers and the tour in their annual "State Champions" issue, should make people proud to be part of the tour. Not only are the drivers and the tour recognizable throughout the Maritimes, they are also recognizable throughout North America.
