CARQUESTPRO STOCKS GEAR UP
FOR 10th TOUR
When the CARQUEST Maritime Pro Stock Tour goes green with the Lucas Oil 100 at Scotia Speedworld on June 5th, the tenth season of one of the most prestigious racing series in the country will be underway. As with every season, fans have a full summer of action and excitement to look forward to in 2010.
On the Schedule this summer are eleven events, including the second Triple Crown of Maritime Pro Stock Racing. The IWK 250 at Riverside International Speedway, the Atlantic CAT 250 at Scotia Speedworld and the Peterbilt 250 at Speedway 660 comprise the Triple Crown. These three events bring the best short track racers from across the region and beyond to compete for lucrative purses in front of huge crowds. Sprint Cup Series regular Regan Smith will be returning to the prestigious IWK 250 in 2010, a race in which he won two seasons ago.
The eight events rounding out the action packed schedule will take place in three provinces at four different racetracks. Consistency and skill will be required to excel. Just ask '09 titlist Shawn Turple about consistency; He piloted his #0 Dexter Construction/Municipal Group Impala to only one feature win throughout the season but he kept his car clean and near the top every time the checkered flag flew, earning him his first championship. Turple will be back to defend his crown against the best in the Maritimes which include the likes of Wayne Smith, John Flemming, Shawn Tucker, Greg Proude, Craig Slaunwhite and many more!
With dozens of hungry and talented drivers having the opportunity to win the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour Championship this season you will not want to miss the lid-lifter on June 5th, the Lucas Oil 100, at Scotia Speedworld.
