(Halifax, NS, April 15, 2010) – Maritime Pro Stock Tour Limited is pleased to announce that CARQUEST Auto Parts is returning as the presenting sponsor for the CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour for 2010, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the stock car racing touring series.

The CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour kicks off the 10th anniversary season with the Lucas Oil 100 on June 5th at Scotia Speedworld in Halifax, NS. Racing continues throughout the summer with ten races at the four premier racetracks in the Maritimes. Racing action will be hot as Shawn Turple, (Enfield, NS) attempts to defend his 2009 championship from over 30 teams led by 2009 top five drivers Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB), John Flemming (Halifax, NS), Wayne Smith (Timberlea, NS) and Lonnie Sommerville (Saint John, NB). It all adds to an exciting summer of stock car action, all at a track near you.
