Tucker triumphs over rain in

(Fredericton, NB, July 7, 2012). After a 96 minute rain delay on Lap 59 of the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100, Shawn Tucker of Fredericton emerged as the winner after leading the final 64 laps to the checkers at Speedway 660 on Saturday night. Tucker, in his #52 Rockico Equipment Limited Impala, became the first repeat winner of the season in the sixth race of the series. John Flemming (Halifax, NS) stormed to the front after the rain delay to wind up second, followed by Mike Stevens (Salisbury). Fourth place in the main feature belonged to Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) while Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) completed the top five.
Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) started the afternoon off claiming the Atlantic Tiltload Fast Time by clocking a time of 13.829 seconds, which locked him into the first place starting position for the Main Feature. After a shake up of the top seven finishers in Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials, Kent Vincent (Crapaud, PE) started the Fast Eddie Dash For Cash on the pole and held on to win the ten lap shoot out. Dartmouth Dodge Heat races were won by Slaunwhite and Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS).
Tucker was awarded the King Freight Lines Halfway Award and Linde Most Laps Led Award in the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100. Flemming picked up the Absolute Traffic Services Hard Charger Award by picking up nine spots from his 11th place starting position while Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) took top rookie honors in the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race chase. The Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100 featured seven yellow flags and took three hours to complete, which included the rain delay.
Next up for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is the IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis Auto Body on Saturday, July 21st, at Riverside International Speedway. NASCAR superstar Joey Logano is scheduled to join the field for the sixth running of the prestigious event. Logano, who drives the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Home Depot Toyota, has gone to Victory Lane once this season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and five times in the NASCAR Nationwide series.
