PARTS FOR TRUCKS PRO STOCK TOUR HIGHLIGHTES RIVER GLADE INTERNATIONAL WEEKEND

(Halifax, NS, August 21, 2013) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Petty International Raceway this Saturday for the Parts for Trucks 150. This is the third and final trip of the season to the ¼ mile oval located just outside of Moncton in River Glade, NB. The 150-lap stock car event marks round nine of 12 for the popular regional touring series. The Parts for Trucks 150 is the highlight event of the 49th running of the River Glade International taking place this weekend at Petty Raceway. Grandstands for Saturday’s main event open at 3:00 PM, qualifying for the Parts for Trucks 150 will take place at 5:10 PM with Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials. Feature racing is slated for 6:00 PM.

With just three races to go John Flemming (Halifax, NS) has a commanding point lead over Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB) and Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) who sit second and third respectively. All three drivers are former series champions but none have won the River Glade International. Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) and Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) round out the top five in the chase for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Championship.

Atlantic Cat 250 winner Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) will not be behind the wheel of the No. 99 this weekend as he has a family wedding to attend. Taking over the pilot seat is Maine short track star Travis Benjamin.

The Maritime League of Legends, Mister Transmission Mini Stocks, and the Atlantic Open Wheel Tour will join the pro stocks at Petty International this Saturday.

Tickets for the Parts for Trucks 150 will be available at the gate on race day (cash only). Admission is $30.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth (8-18 yrs.); children 7 and under are free. Pit admission is $35.00.
