FLEMMING GETS THIRD VICTORY OF THE SEASON AT IRVING 100

(Halifax, NS, July 6, 2013)–John Flemming (Halifax, NS) and his Action Car & Truck Accessories Dodge Charger went to Victory Lane for the third time this season after taking the lead on Lap 84 of the Irving Blending & Packaging 100 at Speedway 660 on Saturday night. The win was his 20th career victory on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. Shawn Tucker (Fredericton) had to settle for second after he chased Flemming through lapped traffic in the closing laps. Dave O’Blenis (Boundary Creek) finished third after having to come from the rear of the field at Lap 50 with a tire issue. Defending series champion Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) and last week’s winner Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) completed the top five in the Irving Blending and Packaging 100.

John Flemming Wins Lucas Oil 150
O’Blenis started the day off by running a 13.776 second fast lap in Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials and then followed it up by winning the King Freight Lines Dash For Cash. Dartmouth Dodge Heat Race winners were Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) and Steve Halpin (Saint John, NB). O’Blenis took home the Linde Most Laps Led award after leading 43 laps. Denver Foran (Edmonton, AB) took home the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race and Absolute Traffic Hard Charger Awards with his 13th place finish.
