Founded in 2001, the MARITIME PRO STOCK TOUR is one of the most successful late model stock car racing tours in the country. We host approximately 12 races from mid-May to mid-September at various stock car racing facilities across the Maritime Provinces.

We are now seeking an experienced RACE DIRECTOR to oversee and direct all activities surrounding our competition segment. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Ken Cunning, the responsibilities of the Race Director include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage the staging of Maritime Pro Stock Tour racing events at participating tracks in accordance with budget guidelines and company operational procedures
• Develop, in consultation with the General Manager, an annual plan for staging all races
• Develop / modify competition rules with Tech Officials and General Manager
• Secure above noted personnel to conduct tour events
• Ensure the safe and smooth operation of tour events
• Communicate with and ensure that competitors receive equal consideration in the staging and outcome of each event
• Adjudicate disputes arising from competitors concerning the scoring of or other rulings affecting the staging and /or outcome of tour sanctioned events
• Respond to competitor enquiries concerning all aspects of the staging of events
• Ensure that tracks are equipped with all necessary equipment and supplies for tour races
• Provide the Administrative offices with all information to compensate staff and drivers as set out in predetermined schedules for wages and purse payouts
• Attend meetings / workshops as required for the purpose of promoting / improving the tour
