Smith New Technical Director for
Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour
(Halifax, NS – April 28, 2016) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is pleased to announce Wayne Smith as the new Technical Director for the series. “Wayne certainly knows these cars and most of the drivers” said Ken Cunning, General Manager. “He’s smart, knowledgeable and will be a great addition to our team”.
Smith, a former multi-time champion on the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will be responsible for ensuring all competition and safety rules are followed by competitors during the 12 race season.
Smith is replacing Tim Bruce, as Bruce steps back from the commitment to spend time with his children. Both of Tim’s daughters are accomplished athletes playing high level softball during the summer. “Tim will still be involved with the Tour, but not on a weekly basis. He’ll be available for us to draw on his vast background and experience” said Cunning.
The 2016 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season gets underway on Saturday, May 21st with the Lucas Oil 100 at Scotia Speedworld. Stay tuned to www.maritimeprostocktour.com for complete event and season details.
The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (PST) is considered the highest level of stock car racing in Canada.
