cummins 150 at petty raceway
(Moncton, NB – June 04, 2022) Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) picked up his second win of the season in front of a huge crowd at Petty International Raceway this evening. Ashton Tucker (Lyttleton, NB) and Cole Butcher (Hantsport, NS) led most of the race until lap 120 when mechanical issues struck both Tucker and Butcher, which knocked both drivers out of contention. Slaunwhite was able to capitalize and take top spot on the podium, as did Russell Smith Jr (Lakeside, NS) who came home second. Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) had a solid race and took the final spot in Victory Lane. Robbie MacEwen and Darren MacKinnon represented Charlottetown well coming home fourth and fifth respectively.
Tucker, MacEwen and Cole Butcher won their respective Atlantic Tiltload heat races which set the field for the Cummins 150. Tucker also won the R&D Performancentre Most Laps Led award (82). Naugle was the Kenny U-Pull Hard Charger, while Matt Vaughan (Bedford, NS) took home the Fleet Brake Atlantic Lucky Dog award.
The Maritime League of Legends ran a 50 -lap feature prior to the main event. Danny Chisholm (Canning, NS) was first under the checkers, followed by Josh Langille (Coldbrook, NS) and Colton Noble (Nine Mile River, NS) who rounded out the podium.
Next up for the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour is the RJ Poirier Heavy Equipment Repair 150 at Riverside International Speedway on June 11th at 4:00pm. Ticket are on sale now at www.RiversideSpeedway.ca and will be available at the gates on race day.
